“ I’ve been hearing the “hype” forever so on a recent trip back from New York to Boston we decided to stop and try the pizza. Definitely not hype - it’s all well deserved as our pizzas were equally delicious. However more impressive than the pizza was the service. We were greeted immediately by Roosevelt. He was so friendly, happy and welcoming. He instantly set a very positive vibe. Our server, Anthony picked up exactly where Roosevelt left off with a seamless continuation of warm, attentive and friendly service. I couldn’t help but notice employees bussing tables to the beat of the restaurant’s music . The vibe was infectious from employees to guests! Well done gentlemen! Thank you for an awesome visit and keep up the good work. Your employer should be very proud. ”
“ If you love pizza, check this place out. The coal fire stove leaves the crust charred with perfection. We ordered the Meatball and Ricotta Pie and also a Doppio Pepperoni Pie. I am pretty sure I’ll be dreaming about these pizzas for years to come. Run, don’t walk to this legendary pizza spot. The dough, cheese, sauce, meatballs and pepperoni were all spot on and what you want your pizza to taste like. ”
“ WOW what a pizza!!! We saw a mini documentary a few weeks ago and decided next time we were near one we were going. SO GLAD WE DID! Started with an amazing salad. Sorry didn't get a picture but we scarfed it down. We did the three pizza sampler which honestly is a great deal. Ended up going with The Special, Margarita and Doppio Pepperoni. All three were great but this may have been the best margarita I have ever had. The sauce here is so good. Not overly sliced and just plain good. All the toppings were amazing. Which leads to the crust. I am usually a thicker crust guy but man this pizza may have changed my mind. So rhin and so crispy with the char and flavor from the oven making it so flavorful. All in all run here if you have never been. Just do it! ”
“ While traveling back home from a long weekend in Massachusetts we saw the sign for Frank Pepe Pizzeria. The location is conveniently right off the highway around the corner. We got the Trio sampler with three pick you own Pizzas. Everything was amazing the clam pie is well worth it don’t be afraid but I have to say the Original was a personal favorite. Well worth the stop instead of sitting in traffic! ”

“ This was my first time dinning in but I have been visiting this location for takeout for years. It is very convenient to get to off 95 north or south. Frank Pepe’s never disappoints but the pizza isn’t always cooked as much as we would like. Despite the char the middle can still be doughy. I find this especially on the margarita and white clam pies do to the extra soupy nature if those particular styles. I love a good white clam Pepe’s pie. It is one of my favorites. This visit we decided to get a salad with side of anchovies. Salad was good but could have used some more dressing but adding parmigiana helped. The anchovies were a good addition. The Pepperoni and Hot Cherry pepper pie was great. We love the way the Pepe’s crisps the meat toppings on their pizzas. Yum The atmosphere was a bit cramped and busy but waitress service was very good. All in all I think the OG New Haven location may be best when it comes to consistency. But Pepe’s pizza remains among my favorites anywhere. ”
“ Classic, iconic New Haven-style pizzeria known for their white clam pizza. The crust has that signature char from extremely high temperatures in coal-fire oven. Everything’s kept low-moisture to yield a stiff, chewy crust. The components of the white clam pizza shone through: a strong perfume of garlic with oceanic brine that would’ve come across as perhaps too delicate if not for that charred crust. You can’t take anything out or it’d fall apart. In that way, it is a completed, perfected dish. ”
“ It was a pretty good experience overall. My boyfriend loves to try different pizza spots and this one is pretty high up on the list. The service was amazing and everyone was friendly and attentive. The pizza was great, loved the Neapoliton pizza and loved the sodas here as well! Super refreshing. We were on the way home from Vermont and passed by for dinner and this didn't disappoint. ”
